Annual Meeting The
annual meeting is held in the first part of the year at different
locations around the state. The purpose of this meeting is to
conduct business, part of which is the election of officers, and to
allow members the opportunity to get together with other members
from across the state. The all day meeting includes the business
meeting, a lecture by a nationally known teacher, demonstrations by
SC teachers, show and share and a luncheon. Vendors from around the
state offer fabrics and tools needed for meeting classes and
projects.
The 2010 Spring Meeting will held in Newberry at the Newberry Opera House on March 27

Laura Wasilowski is from Elgin,
Illinois and is both contemporary quilt maker and creator of
hand-dyed fabrics and threads. Her pictorial art quilts, made from
fused fabrics and hand embroidered or machine quilted, are collected
and exhibited internationally. Laura’s narrative quilts begin with her unique hand-dyed fabrics and are inspired by stories of family, friends, and home. The whimsical wall pieces often chronicle her life. |

the dye shop, Artfabrik, Laura is also a lecturer, surface designer,
quilt instructor, pattern designer, and author of Fusing Fun and
